After-School Programs

Lower School

Brookfield Academy is a great place to be, even after the regular school day is over. Some students need to stay at school until Mom or Dad is finished with work, while others choose to be here because they just can't get enough! Our goal is to provide children with a safe environment after school, where they are engaged and challenged by activities that are both educational and enjoyable.

The Narnia Program

The Narnia program, named after the classic children's book series by C.S. Lewis, provides after-school care to students in Levels A - 5. This safe and fun environment allows students to unwind from a long day of hard work while participating in activities planned especially for their interests. Typical Narnia activities include outdoor play, art, games, gardening, cooking, special guest speakers, and quiet time for homework or reading.

The Narnia Program is available from dismissal time until 6:00 pm, five days per week. Options are available for drop-in and part-time use.

Enrichment Programs

In addition to our extended day program in Narnia, Brookfield Academy offers several other opportunities for student learning experiences after the formal school day. Students may explore interests in foreign languages, chess, basketball, school newspaper, art, drama, and music in these enrichment classes. Age-grouped classes are available for students from Levels B - 5.

Enrichment classes are offered in fall, winter, and spring sessions. Sessions are nine weeks long; classes meet once per week.
