Euclidean constructions are drawings made using only the tools of a compass and a straightedge. Constructions were developed during the classical era of Greek mathematics, but they remain a valuable tool for understanding modern mathematical principles. While most high schools have eliminated Euclidean constructions from their curriculum, Brookfield Academy continues to teach these skills as we believe they are a fundamental part of classical education and an elegant way to explore mathematics.
