Middle School Writing Teacher
Brookfield Academy, a private, independent, college preparatory day school, is seeking a Part-Time Middle School Writing teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Composition, Grammar, and English Literature are all possible assignments depending upon the qualifications of the candidate.
Brookfield Academy fosters a collaborative, cooperative, professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a team, support others, and take direction. Candidates with a love of teaching and an ability to relate to ambitious and motivated middle school students are highly desired. In addition, ideal candidates should have:
- Successful teaching experience with grades 6-8
- Ability to teach the writing process and assess student compositions
- Expertise in traditional grammar
- Familiarity with and appreciation for classic texts
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university or equivalent in English
